Trouble at Daycare :(
Brandon got in trouble for the first time today at daycare. Apparently, he bit another kid! We've been told that this is a fairly normal thing that some kids go through... but hopefully he'll learn that he won't have any friends if he keeps biting. We'll see if it happens again...

First Birthday!
We cannot believe how fast this year has gone by! It's almost unbelievable that our little man was a teeny 5-pounder just one year ago. Now he's crawling around (no... he's still not walking), pointing at and calling everything "dada", and throwing his toys so he can say "uh-oh".Wednesday, June 24, 2009
11 months!
Some other exciting news, Brandon started waving bye-bye! We accidentally discovered he knew this skill when he dropped a car toy from his car seat. Mommy said "Oh-oh, bye-bye car" and Brandon started waving! Of course he can't wave without a scream to go along with it... but it's still super cute :)

First Vacation
We weren't getting enough sun in San Diego so we spent a week in Hawaii. Brandon wasn't a huge fan of sand or the ocean but he still had a ton of fun... mostly because he got to hang out with his buddy, Chase, all week long. Here are some pictures from our trip.

10-Months!!!
We had a very busy 10th month! After what seemed like months of constant drooling, Brandon's top teeth FINALLY came out at the beginning of May. They're HUGE but hopefully he'll grow into them (along with his ears).
Brandon also started crawling!!! On May 12, he surprised us by getting to sitting position from laying on his belly. Then 2 days later, he got on his knees and started crawling! He never got on his knees until that day so we actually didn't think he was ever going to crawl. I guess when it's time for a baby to do something, they'll just do it... no training needed.

TV Debut!

Claire's baby, Ben, made it on there, too. Here are the pictures of the other cutie boys (Ben, Christian, and Brett) that we experienced the Ellen show with.

9 Months!
Brandon has now been living in the real world as long as he lived in the womb! It just seems like yesterday when we found out we were pregnant!

At nine months Brandon is now creeping backwards and in circles. Hopefully he'll learn to move forward soon... but then again it's kind of nice that we can still keep track of where he is now.
He has also learned to clap his hands but would rather bang his toys together to make a lot of noise. So far it's been quite cute but we're hoping he won't turn into one of those kids that bang his toys against things to annoy everyone around!
The new game for this week is throwing the ball back to daddy. There's not much coordination so the game is more like "throw and daddy find the ball." He actually throws like mommy :)
Brandon is also getting to enjoy the wonderful world of food. We've added eggs, beef, KIX, and rice cakes to his expanding repertoire of carrots, peas, rice porridge, and fruit (and other random jarred baby food that we've stopped feeding him because they taste and smell horrible).
Next post: pictures from cousin Elise's baptism!

8 months!
We can't believe how fast Brandon has grown up! He's already 8 months old and we're enjoying every moment of it. It has been really cool to see his personality grow. He gets VERY crabby when he's sleepy just like his mommy and he can watch a whole Baby Einstein video barely blinking just like his daddy! He's a super picky eater, hates his fruit and cereal but loves his peas and carrots... well only if it's cooked in rice porridge. What can we say... he's definitely asian!

Catching Up
Sorry we've been slacking on this blog. So lots of things have happened since our last entry.
1. Brandon started daycare at the beginning of the year! The first week was rough but now he loves all of his new friends and lovable teachers.
2. We started him on solids. He loves his veggies and rice but hates his fruit. He chews like an old man... it's adorable!
3. He can now sit unassisted! He still tumbles over when he loses his balance but he can now sit for a pretty long time especially when Baby Einstein is on.
4. First ear infection :( It started as a cold, turned into bronchiolitis, and ended with an ear infection. He's all better now though!
5. To make his ear infection more pleasant, Brandon's 2 bottom teeth came in!
6. Brandon finally learned that he can get around by rolling back and forth. He just figured that out this weekend so we'll see how long it takes him to figure out he can crawl!
Check out all of the new pictures of the little guy. We can't believe how fast he's growing up! He's starting to look more and more like a little boy :)
